Mariam Sholaja

Mariam Sholaja is a US-born, London-based photographer working across portrait, fashion, and editorial photography. She creates photographic stories based on subjects that reflect her connections to the communities around her. She often gathers inspiration from her Nigerian heritage and prides her use of colourful and natural elements.

She was awarded the New Talent Award by The Photographer’s Gallery and has been featured in The Guardian, Cosmopolitan, and her work has been exhibited in a series of indoor and outdoor exhibitions including in the Soho Quarter and The Outernet. She has also featured in publications such as Hypebeast, Pause Magazine, and others.
