Tirtha Lawati

Tirtha Lawati is a Nepalese photographer based in London. Having migrated to Britain at 10-years-old the Nepali diaspora was crucial for him and his photography borrows subtle references from the nostalgic memories of his childhood in Nepal. He documents the tentative experience of first-generation Nepali youth in the UK, suspended between the worldview of their parents and the accommodation of British values.

Tirtha graduated from the London College of Fashion in 2019.
