Austn Fischer Debuts Photobook Jesters Gender Game Exploring Pre-Defined Gender Roles

Thursday’s Child photographer Austn Fischer has debuted a new photobook Jesters Gender Game. 

Inspired by Judith Butler’s coveted sociological text Gender Trouble, Fischer’s book presents his take on confronting the pressure to perform restrictive, pre-defined gender roles. Fischer’s photographs were also displayed for one evening in an exhibition at The Photobook Cafe in Shoreditch, London, which can be read about here.
