Winnie Cheung Debuts New Residency Screening in NYC
Filmmaker Winnie Cheung is set to debut her first feature-length film this week in New York City.
Residency taps into the essence of DIY punk cinema, exploring the thrilling metafictional story of female artists who are overburdened at a haunted artist residency. Winnie describes it as ‘a love letter to NYC, an immersive experience that mirrors the unattainable nature of memory’, with Variety naming it as “part of the North American new wave of indie micro-budget genre features.”
Viewings for the first night are already sold out but there are tickets available for the following day here.
Congratulations, Winnie.
