Katya Ilina

Katya Ilina is a London-based photographer working at the intersection of portrait, fashion and observational photography genres. Her works explore identity expression, gender, and the human condition in the context of socio-cultural change.

Katya has exhibited in the UK, France, Canada, and South Korea, including Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2021, where she took home 3rd place. She studied Photography at Toronto Metropolitan University and the University of Westminster. Her work has been featured in BBC, The Guardian, Creative Review, and The Royal Photographic Society Journal, among others.
